Ocean plastic is a
waste infrastructure problem.
Today, 2.7 billion people live without access to proper waste collection.
In many coastal communities, this means there’s simply no way to dispose of plastic responsibly.
And when plastic has nowhere to go, it ends up in the sea.
What needs to be done?
To break the cycle, we have to prevent plastic from
ever reaching the ocean in the first place.

And the only way to make this possible is
connecting all households to proper plastic disposal.
Our way to free the sea:
We build plastic waste management infrastructure in coastal communities where the systems are not efficient enough.

We do this in three steps:

Step 1 - Prevention through collection​

First, we set up systems for collecting plastic.

This is done through either:

Household Collection: our trucks pick up plastic waste directly from homes.
​​

Collection Points: these are locations where local individuals can drop-off their plastic waste.
Step 2 - Rewarding each contribution​

Every time a household disposes of their plastic responsibly, they earn a financial incentive and get access to social benefits.​
We do this because their actions are valuable: they are protecting the ocean.
Step 2 - Sorting and transformation​

The recyclable plastic waste is then processed at our recycling facility and given a second life.

Now we collect non-recyclable waste too! We are actively working on innovative ways to transform it into useful, valuable products.
