How it works
Plastic Keepers are the wonderful, vibrant people living in Indonesia who work together to stop plastic before it ever reaches the sea.
Households are at the heart of the system. They become Plastic Keepers by sorting plastic at home and keeping it in the waste flow.
They are supported by other Plastic Keepers working across the system: in our Material Hubs, transporting the plastic by truck and electric bike, and processing it at our Material Recovery Facility. Together, they protect the sea every day by keeping plastic in the system and out of nature.

How to join
BE A PLAST C KEEP R
As a Plastic Keeper, your household becomes part of the system that stops plastic before it reaches the sea.
Many Plastic Keepers begin as households and become more involved over time as opportunities grow within their community.
Here's how it works:
Sort your plastic waste at home.
Have your plastic collected from your household, or bring it to your nearest Material Hub if collection doesn’t suit you.
Receive financial rewards and community benefits each time your household disposes of plastic responsibly.
Becoming a Plastic Keeper is easy for households in Batam.
